The APTMM2 flat tilt mount features a slim 1.9-Inch profile from the wall to the back of your display. Additionally it has 0-15 degrees of tilt. The APTMM2 mount is constructed with 8LBS of 100% High Grade Steel providing a sturdy and reliable mount. The APTMM2's solid wall plate allows for quick and easy installation and will support a wide variety of stud applications up to 28-Inch apart. The APTMM2 mount will fit the majority of LCD and Plasma Displays up to 55-Inch. Most LCD and Plasma displays 55-Inch and smaller conforms to the VESA Standards and this mount will support most odd sized hole patterns that do not conform to the VESA Standards. One of the best deals i've seen on Amazon - TV Mount above Fireplace
Like most reviewers on this product, I thought the price seemed way too cheap to be true. I shopped around at Best B.., HH Gr... and could not find a mount less than $100. I have a 3 year old Sony 46" XBR LCD which is much heavier than the newer LED's. Additionally, I bought the Universal Sound Bar brackets to mount my Sony Sound Bar on this Cheetah mount.
PROS (other than the price obviously):
1. Very Sturdy Mount - I have it mounted above my fireplace (non-brick) drilled into wood studs. I hung the TV and took it down the following day to see if any part of the mount flexed or bent from its original position, it was as solid as when I took it out of the box. Again, I have a very heavy older LCD TV. FYI, as soon as you hang TV, screw in the bottom brackets RIGHT AWAY, I almost dropped my TV when I nudged the bottom of it plugging in the HDMI Cable.
2. Hardware Kit - THe hardware kit came with the screws I needed for my Sony TV. Most blogs say that the TV stand screws also work with the back of the TV when you mount it on the wall however, it was not true for my Sony TV but the Cheetah mount came with screws that fit my the back of my TV perfect. It came with 3 sets of different sized screws to mount the vertical brackets so I'd be surprised if it did not cover all major brands.
3. HDMI Cable - I had planned to buy a new 10' HDMI cable but tried the one that came with the Cheetah mount and it worked just as good as my $50 Mons... 4' HDMI Cable. I tested using Cable HD Channel and a Blue-Ray on Sony PS3. Additionally, the Cheetah HDMI Cable is braided so I was able to pull it through the wall easy and it seemed to be more insulated than a standard HDMI Cable. For the price, the HDMI Cable Alone is worth it.
CONS (since nothing is perfect):
1. The included Level - I recommend you use a full size Level when installing this mount. The level that is included was convenient due to small size and magnetic so it could stay on mount while you drilled into the wall HOWEVER, it was slightly off when I compared it with my full size Level.
2. Instructions not too great - The instructions were not clear for the pre-assembly of the rectangular bracket that is drilled into the wall. Additionally, the picture/drawing of the mount looks slightly different than the actual mount. Despite these issues, the mount was very easy to assemble even if you did not look at the instructions.
